It has been 13 years since we first opened our doors on our mashed up magic corner of Rogers Park/Edgewater in Chicago's oft snoozed on N N Side. It has been a mysterious courting process and let's just say we are still in love thanks to you who continually see us and support us in these wild times. SBK has rocked 101 iterations mostly born out of necessity including but not limited to a: venue, classroom, bakery, supper club, hot sauce/granola bar/pastry/bread manufactory, food pantry, and even a grocery store. You ain't seen nothing yet! We do however need to take a break and figure what's next for the day to day operations at ye olde SBK. It's good news we swear, and all that we ask is that you stay tuned! See you in April for Jazz!

Hey Purim and Purim curious people get a taste of history with Anne's famous Hamentashen. They are a traditional Ashkenazi Jewish triangular filled-pocket pastry, The name refers to Haman, the villain in the Purim story.
